Cor and I liked to do things that were a bit different; sometimes for the better, sometimes for worse. But by far the best things were made up by the people of Cor-rupt; in shenanigans, in music, and in events. One of the best surprises was the party for the one-year anniversary. We were picked up by a large crowd including a marching band and a police-escort, and walked together to Cor-rupt where Hilde and Netta were waiting for us with flowers, cake and coffee. And no work for us! The ‘bar service’ was done by Eva, Menno and many others. The only thing we were allowed to do was celebrate. Where can you find such ‘customers’ and how happy and proud can one feel?

Christmas dinner
By far the biggest challenge for the chef (moi) was the traditional ‘Spaarkas’ meal on Christmas Eve at ten, eleven P.M. We almost always lost; and it was usually bad weather but what fun we had. Afterwards we went to Cor’s parents with at least 50 […]
